These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern automotive repair, maintenance, diagnostic, and mobile mechanic services provided by Mobile Mechz (“Mobile Mechz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to customers (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) in Illinois.

By scheduling an appointment, requesting services, approving an estimate, or authorizing repairs, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review these Terms and agree to the applicable provisions.

1. SERVICES

Mobile Mechz provides mobile automotive repair, maintenance, diagnostic, and related services at locations agreed upon with the Customer.

Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Vehicle diagnostics

  • Mechanical repairs

  • Electrical repairs and diagnostics

  • Brake services

  • Battery replacement and services

  • Starting and charging system repairs

  • Fuel system repairs

  • Preventive maintenance

  • Parts replacement

  • Vehicle inspections

  • Other automotive services agreed upon by Mobile Mechz and the Customer

The ability to perform a service may depend on the vehicle, location, weather, available equipment, parts availability, vehicle condition, and safety conditions.

2. APPOINTMENTS

Appointments are scheduled based on Mobile Mechz's availability.

The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information when booking an appointment, including:

  • Customer name and contact information

  • Vehicle year, make, and model

  • Vehicle location

  • Description of the vehicle's problem

  • Relevant diagnostic information

  • Known modifications or previous repairs

Providing inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the estimated price, appointment duration, or Mobile Mechz's ability to perform the requested service.

3. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY

Customers must cancel or reschedule appointments at least 6 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Any cancellation or rescheduling request made less than 6 hours before the scheduled appointment time will be considered a NO-SHOW and will be subject to the $50 no-show fee.

Once an appointment is within the 6-hour window, changing the appointment time does not remove or waive the $50 fee.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made 6 or more hours before the appointment will not be subject to the no-show fee.

4. NO-SHOW POLICY

A Customer will be considered a no-show if:

  • The Customer is not available when the technician arrives;

  • The vehicle is unavailable or inaccessible;

  • The technician cannot reasonably access the vehicle;

  • The Customer fails to provide necessary access to the vehicle; or

  • The Customer otherwise prevents the scheduled service from being performed.

NO-SHOW FEE: $50

A $50 no-show fee will apply to missed appointments.

The Customer agrees to pay the $50 no-show fee when applicable.

Repeated no-shows may result in Mobile Mechz to declining future appointments.

5. ESTIMATES & REPAIR AUTHORIZATION

Mobile Mechz will provide estimates and obtain customer authorization in accordance with applicable Illinois law.

For repairs where Illinois law requires a written estimate, the estimate will contain the applicable information required by law, including relevant parts, labor, diagnostic charges, and other applicable charges.

The Customer may authorize repairs through methods permitted by applicable law, including written, electronic, or oral authorization when permitted.

Mobile Mechz will not intentionally perform unauthorized repairs or charge the Customer for unauthorized work.

6. ADDITIONAL REPAIRS

During a diagnostic or repair appointment, Mobile Mechz may discover additional problems that were not apparent when the original estimate was prepared.

If additional work is necessary or requested, Mobile Mechz will communicate the additional work and applicable charges to the Customer.

Additional repairs requiring authorization will not be performed without obtaining the Customer's authorization as required by Illinois law.

If authorization is provided by telephone, Mobile Mechz will document the required authorization information, including the date, time, person authorizing the work, telephone number when applicable, additional parts and labor, and additional cost.

7. DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

Diagnostic services are intended to identify the likely cause of a vehicle problem.

A diagnostic service does not guarantee that a particular repair or replacement part will resolve every issue associated with the vehicle.

Modern vehicles may have multiple systems that can produce similar symptoms, and additional testing may sometimes be necessary.

Any diagnostic fee will be disclosed to the Customer before the diagnostic service is performed.

The Customer is responsible for authorized diagnostic charges even if the Customer chooses not to proceed with the recommended repair.

8. PARTS

Parts used by Mobile Mechz may include:

  • OEM parts

  • Aftermarket parts

  • New parts

  • Remanufactured parts

  • Rebuilt parts

  • Used parts

The applicable type of part and associated cost will be communicated to the Customer as required by law and when reasonably possible.

Parts may carry separate manufacturer or supplier warranties.

9. LABOR & SERVICE CHARGES

Labor charges will be based on the agreed hourly rate, flat-rate price, firm price, or other pricing arrangement communicated to the Customer.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Diagnostic services

  • Mobile service or travel

  • Emergency or after-hours service

  • Additional labor

  • Special tools or equipment

  • Parts procurement

  • Additional Customer-requested services

  • Other charges disclosed and authorized before the service is performed

10. PAYMENT

Payment is due upon completion of authorized services unless another payment arrangement has been agreed upon in writing.

The Customer is responsible for payment of all authorized labor, parts, diagnostic services, and other applicable charges.

Mobile Mechz may accept the payment methods made available to the Customer.

11. INVOICES

Upon completion of services, Mobile Mechz will provide the Customer with an invoice containing applicable information required by Illinois law.

Invoices may include:

  • Parts and labor charges

  • Diagnostic charges

  • Applicable fees

  • Odometer information when required

  • Warranty information

  • Total amount due

Illinois law requires repair invoices to contain specified information, including itemized parts and labor, applicable warranties, and the total price.

12. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate vehicle information;

  • Providing safe access to the vehicle;

  • Providing keys or necessary vehicle access;

  • Disclosing known vehicle problems;

  • Disclosing modifications or previous repairs that may affect the service;

  • Providing a reasonably safe location for the repair;

  • Removing valuable personal belongings from the vehicle; and

  • Following reasonable instructions provided by the technician.

Mobile Mechz may refuse or stop work if the vehicle or service location presents an unsafe condition.

13. VEHICLE CONDITION

The Customer understands that vehicles may have pre-existing:

  • Damage

  • Corrosion

  • Rust

  • Worn components

  • Broken components

  • Seized bolts or fasteners

  • Electrical problems

  • Modified systems

  • Previous improper repairs

  • Other conditions that may affect the repair

Mobile Mechz is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures unrelated to the authorized services.

If an additional problem is discovered, Mobile Mechz will notify the Customer when additional authorization is required.

14. WEATHER & UNSAFE CONDITIONS

Because Mobile Mechz performs repairs at customer locations, certain weather or environmental conditions may make service unsafe.

Examples include:

  • Severe storms

  • Lightning

  • Flooding

  • Extreme weather

  • Unsafe parking locations

  • Hazardous materials

  • Poor lighting

  • Heavy traffic

  • Other dangerous conditions

Mobile Mechz reserves the right to postpone or reschedule an appointment when conditions make performing the service unsafe.

Reasonable efforts will be made to notify the Customer.

15. 90-DAY NO-HASSLE WARRANTY

90-DAY NO-HASSLE WARRANTY

Mobile Mechz provides a 90-day no-hassle warranty on qualifying repairs performed by Mobile Mechz.

If a covered issue related to the repair occurs within 90 days from the date of service, the Customer should contact Mobile Mechz at 385-393-9730.

Mobile Mechz will evaluate the concern and, when the issue is determined to be covered by the warranty, make a reasonable effort to correct the covered repair issue without additional labor charges.

The 90-day warranty applies to the repair work performed by Mobile Mechz and does not automatically cover unrelated vehicle problems or failures of unrelated components.

Manufacturer or supplier warranties on parts may provide additional coverage.

16. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The 90-day warranty does not cover problems caused by:

  • Accidents or collisions;

  • Abuse or misuse of the vehicle;

  • Neglect;

  • Continued operation of a vehicle after a warning or known mechanical problem;

  • Improper maintenance;

  • Unauthorized modifications;

  • Repairs or modifications performed by another person or business;

  • Damage caused by another component;

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Unrelated mechanical or electrical failures;

  • Environmental damage; or

  • Conditions outside the reasonable control of Mobile Mechz.

Warranty coverage will be determined based on the actual cause of the reported problem.

Nothing in this warranty is intended to eliminate or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived under Illinois law.

17. WARRANTY CLAIMS

To request warranty service, the Customer should contact Mobile Mechz as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the problem.

Mobile Mechz may require an inspection or diagnostic evaluation before determining whether the issue is covered by the 90-day warranty.

If the issue is determined to be unrelated to the original repair, normal diagnostic or repair charges may apply.

If another repair facility performs work on the vehicle before Mobile Mechz has an opportunity to inspect the issue, the warranty claim may be affected.

18. MOBILE SERVICE LIMITATIONS

Not every repair can safely or reasonably be completed as a mobile service.

Mobile Mechz may determine that a vehicle requires:

  • A vehicle lift;

  • Specialized equipment;

  • Additional workspace;

  • Specialized diagnostic equipment;

  • A controlled repair environment; or

  • Transportation to another repair facility.

When a repair cannot reasonably be completed as a mobile service, Mobile Mechz may recommend that the vehicle be transported to an appropriate repair facility.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, towing and transportation costs are the Customer's responsibility.

19. COMPLETION TIMES

Any estimated completion time is an estimate only.

Actual completion time may change because of:

  • Unexpected repairs;

  • Diagnostic findings;

  • Parts availability;

  • Weather;

  • Traffic;

  • Vehicle condition;

  • Additional authorized work;

  • Supplier delays; or

  • Other circumstances outside Mobile Mechz's reasonable control.

Mobile Mechz will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays to the Customer.

20. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Customers should remove valuable personal belongings from their vehicle before service.

Mobile Mechz is not responsible for personal property left inside a vehicle except to the extent required by applicable law.

21. RIGHT TO REFUSE OR STOP SERVICE

Mobile Mechz reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when:

  • The work would be unsafe;

  • The vehicle or location presents a hazard;

  • The requested service is outside Mobile Mechz's capabilities;

  • Material information about the vehicle was withheld or misrepresented;

  • The Customer behaves abusively, threateningly, or disrespectfully;

  • Payment for previously completed services remains outstanding; or

  • Continuing the service would violate applicable law.

22. CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS

If a Customer has a concern regarding a service, the Customer should contact Mobile Mechz as soon as reasonably possible.

Mobile Mechz will make a reasonable effort to review the concern and work toward a fair resolution.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a Customer from exercising any rights available under Illinois or federal law.

23. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mobile Mechz will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from services provided.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, eliminate, or restrict any consumer protection or legal right that cannot legally be waived or restricted.

24. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, except where federal law or another mandatory law applies.

25. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Mobile Mechz may update these Terms from time to time.

The version of the Terms applicable to an appointment or service will generally be the version in effect when the Customer books or authorizes the service, subject to applicable law.

26. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By booking an appointment, approving an estimate, authorizing repairs, or accepting services from Mobile Mechz, the Customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review these Terms & Conditions.

The Customer understands and agrees to the 6-hour cancellation policy, $50 no-show fee, payment requirements, repair authorization requirements, and 90-day no-hassle warranty described above.
